ORIGINALS
When creating original artworks I use wooden panels or premium artists canvas.

PRINTS ON FRAMED FINE ART CANVAS

Superior framed fine art canvas prints feature a 38mm stretched canvas within a traditional picture frame. The simple addition of a wooden frame gives a completely different look, quite distinct to a standard print on demand canvas.

The canvases are printed on specialist canvas material using a high quality 12-colour Giclée printing process, ensuring colour authenticity and a long life span (100+ years!). Giclée printing means pigment based as opposed to the cheaper ink based way of printing.
This material is then stretched over a handmade wooden canvas frame (made from four separate parts called canvas stretcher bars.).  The canvas corners are folded tightly over each edge and then the material is fixed with staples to the canvas stretcher bar frame. Tape is then used to cover all staples, ensuring a smooth, neat finish.

Prints on fine art canvas are manufactured in an eco-friendly, sustainable way.

FrameFloat Frame (5 mm gap between the frame and the canvas) made of European knotless pine wood, 38mm Standard Stretcher Bar in the colours white, black and natural wood. This frame is extremely hard wearing and does not warp, unlike many of the cheap online alternatives.
Colour: White, Black or Natural Wood

Is there a way to see what the artwork might look like on my wall before buying?
Yes, if you are on my mailing list, you can request a room 'mockup'. Simply send me a picture of the wall you'd like to place the art on, with some of the room included in the shot, and I will create a mockup for you to show you how the artwork will look in situ.
Do you offer bespoke commissions?
Yes I offer commissions as long as it is in the style I paint and I have free artistic license within the brief. I.e. you state the size, colour, style etc and I will create the work.

What is your process?
Play, Joy & Freedom are key drivers behind my art.

My work is an intuitive search for a visual representation of an inward truth that I can’t put into words.

It's a spontaneous expression of this moment in time, an intuitive unfolding of layer upon layer, rather than a step in the execution of a plan.
I respond in each moment to what shows up in my process, guiding me into my next step.

That way I come alive the most. This is key for me.

To come alive when I paint.

I respond in each moment to what shows up in my process, guiding me into my next step is.
This process yields so many little surprises, gems & ideas that I could never have come up with as a conscious plan and proposal in advance.
One layer is the catalyst for the next and so on.

The layers and layers of marks, shapes, drips, scratches & lines are like little visual eye catchers that draw you deeper into the depths of the painting, often subtly obscuring the layers beneath, leaving them tantalisingly beyond grasp. Evoking a longing to reach further and deeper.

Each of my painting goes on its own individual & unique quest towards resolution. I kind of find myself in the painting when I fully trust the process.
It’s in the searching and ‘not knowing’ where I'm going exactly, that my authentic voice comes out.

In my creative process I play, explore & seek balance between aliveness and resting spaces, the quiet and loud conversations in shapes & colour and the variety of values.

I use a multi-disciplinary approach, choosing mixed media like acrylics, inks, & oil sticks, sometimes oil & wax. I like creating my own collage paper and use the technique of both direct as well as indirect mark making.

The possibilities are endless and that gives me tremendous joy.

My work seeks to inspire, uplift and infuse Home & Heart with a sense of Joy, Light-heartedness & Freedom.

Each artistic journey to me is a celebration of the wisdom and gifts of my soul and a testimonial to all I’ve overcome.

Through my art I wish to speak to the woman who is longing to step into her Soul shoes and live her most authentic, creative & courageous life, finding her freedom & joy.
