This isn’t a course about making “beautiful” art (though that may happen!).

to play, to be curious, to make a mess, to show up as you are,
and to feel gloriously, unapologetically free.
In ART4JOY, the process is the masterpiece.
It’s about uncovering your unique creative voice while gently exploring mixed media materials and playful techniques —
with PLAY as the highest form of research.
I can only teach what I’ve lived.
And what I’ve lived is this:
creative freedom grows from practice, presence, and lots of play — especially when you build a loving relationship with your art journal.
Your journal isn’t a stage.
It’s your private playground, your safe haven for creative self-expression.
Over six months, we’ll gather every last Sunday of the month to reconnect with what creativity was always meant to be: alive, joyful, real.
We’ll give ourselves — and each other — permission to explore without pressure or perfectionism.
Expect easy, fun practices to awaken your intuition, loosen your grip, and set your inner child free.
We’ll doodle, scribble, smudge, splash — and laugh, a lot.

I Don’t Paint Pictures. I Paint Freedom.
I’m a self-taught, intuitive abstract artist who stumbled into painting at 49 on the Greek island of Corfu — and discovered a whole new world. What began as playful splashes of colour became a wild reunion with my inner child and creative spirit. Somewhere amidst the colourful mess, I found medicine for depression and fatigue — and a pulse of joy that never left me. Painting plugged me back into my heart. It sparked my soul. It brought me back to life. Born in Australia, raised in the Netherlands, and via the UK now living on Spain’s Costa Blanca with my husband and daughter, I’ve explored creativity in many forms — from project management to teaching and coaching. But nothing has made me come more alive than artmaking. Through my ART4JOY workshops, I now help women reclaim their creative spark through the power of play. Because joy isn’t something you find — it’s something you remember.
